Provide effective instruction in assigned courses, averaging 170 instructional hours per semester.
Develop, revise, and maintain course content and syllabi as needed.
Utilize innovative instructional strategies and appropriate technologies suited to courses and learners.
Employ evaluation methods that measure student attainment of competencies and review performance with students.
Maintain a safe and orderly instructional environment in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
Model professional behaviors in the classroom, on campus, and in the community.
Assist in the evaluation and acquisition of instructional materials, current technology, audiovisual aids, equipment, textbooks, and library holdings.
Submit required reports accurately and on time.
Maintain attendance records and student records in accordance with college policies.
Participate in college, division, and departmental planning processes.
Attend and participate in college activities, including faculty, department, division, and committee meetings; faculty orientation; advisory committee meetings; pre-registration; registration; graduation exercises; and other required events.
Engage in college marketing, recruitment, and retention efforts.
Participate in professional development activities, including conferences, workshops, training sessions, and independent study.
Serve as an academic or career advisor to students, maintaining a minimum of one scheduled office hour daily.
Contribute to the college’s mission and goals and participate in activities that strengthen partnerships between Wayne Community College and the community.
Report to the Workforce Continuing Education Allied Health Department Head.
