Title: Open to a Career Change? Proven People Skills?
A lot of people think real estate is about unlocking doors and saying things like, “Great natural light.”
That is technically part of it. The doors do need unlocked, and people do love their natural light.
But the agents who do well usually bring something else first: trust, communication, follow-through, patience, and the ability to help people make decisions when the stakes feel high.
That is why we are looking outside the real estate industry.
We are a real estate team serving Dayton and Cincinnati, and we are looking for people who may be curious about becoming a real estate agent, even if they have never worked in real estate before.
This is not an entry-level job posting. You do not need real estate experience, but you do need a real professional track record.
If you are a teacher, coach, HR/recruiting professional, nurse or healthcare professional, sales professional, ministry or nonprofit leader, hospitality manager, fine dining or upscale service professional, customer service leader, banking professional, manager, or someone in another people-focused career, you may already have more of the right skills than you realize.
Teachers know how to explain complicated things without making people feel overwhelmed. Coaches know how to motivate, guide, and hold people accountable. HR and recruiting professionals know how to ask good questions and navigate important conversations. Sales professionals know how to follow up, handle rejection, and stay consistent. Ministry and nonprofit leaders know how to serve people well. Healthcare professionals know how to stay calm and build trust quickly. Hospitality leaders and upscale service professionals know how to read people, solve problems, and make people feel taken care of.
Those skills can transfer into real estate.
Not because you already know the business. Because you know people.
WHAT THIS IS
This is an opportunity to explore becoming a real estate agent with our team.
You do not need to be licensed yet. You do not need real estate experience.
You do need to be coachable, dependable, consistent, professional, and willing to learn a business that rewards follow-up, preparation, and communication.
This is also not something to jump into recklessly. Real estate is performance-based, and we are not going to tell you to quit your job and “chase your dreams.” That sounds great until the mortgage shows up and asks for a plot twist.
We would rather have an honest conversation about whether this could actually fit your life, your timing, and your long-term goals.
WHY OUR TEAM?
A lot of real estate is still taught like this:
Get licensed. Tell everyone you know. Cross your fingers and hope.
That is not much of a plan.
Our team takes a different approach. We provide training, coaching, accountability, team-generated opportunities, marketing support, transaction support, admin support, and staff who help remove a lot of the behind-the-scenes work that slows agents down.
That means our agents can spend more time on the things that actually create business: conversations, relationships, showings, negotiations, follow-up, and taking great care of clients.
At least 50% of our agents’ business comes through team-generated opportunities, which gives newer agents a stronger foundation than trying to create every opportunity alone.
We also have an awesome culture. People help each other here, and you are surrounded by a team that actually wants you to win.
You still have to work, learn, follow up, and treat this like a real business.
But you do not have to build it by yourself, and you do not have to rely on the “cross your fingers and hope” version of real estate.
THIS MAY BE A FIT IF YOU:
You communicate well, follow through, build trust easily, and like helping people think through important decisions.
You have built real skills in another field, but you may not see yourself doing the exact same thing for the next 10 or 20 years.
You want more income upside, flexibility, and control than your current path may offer, but you also understand that those things come with responsibility.
THIS IS PROBABLY NOT A FIT IF YOU:
You need guaranteed income immediately, want flexibility without responsibility, avoid follow-up, dislike accountability, or are looking for quick money.
It is also probably not a fit if you are very early in your career and have not yet built much professional experience.
INCOME POTENTIAL
Real estate income is performance-based and not guaranteed.
That said, for someone who gets licensed, follows the plan, works consistently, and treats this seriously, $75,000 to $100,000 in year one is a realistic target.
By year two, a strong agent should be aiming for $125,000+ as their skills, confidence, client base, and referral opportunities grow.
By year three and beyond, the opportunity can continue to grow as you build a real business with past clients, referrals, stronger systems, better conversations, and more control over where your opportunities come from.
None of that happens by accident.
The support is real. The opportunity is real. The work has to be real too.
