We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Lead Gifted Teacher to inspire and challenge our high-achieving students in a stimulating educational environment. As the Lead Gifted Teacher, you will lead classroom instruction, collaborate with colleagues to enhance program offerings, and ensure that gifted students receive personalized support to reach their full potential. You will supervise and lead 3 other gifted colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement challenging, differentiated lesson plans that incorporate advanced concepts in math, science, language arts, and creative writing, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards and learning styles.
- Develop and monitor IEPs
- Follow all state education laws related to gifted students
- Mentor and support students through individualized academic advising, fostering their intellectual growth and passion for learning while managing classroom responsibilities effectively.
- Utilize innovative learning technology tools to enhance instruction and engage students in interactive lessons that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Manage classroom environment by applying effective behavior management strategies, adapting teaching methods for diverse learning styles, and maintaining a positive atmosphere conducive to high-level academic work.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development initiatives, standardized testing preparations, and educational compliance to ensure a comprehensive program that meets all regulatory standards.
- Lead extracurricular activities such as math clubs or sports coaching to promote well-rounded development while supporting social-emotional skills like public speaking and teamwork.
Experience
- Proven teaching experience with teenagers in high school or middle school settings, preferably within private or specialized schools such as Montessori or other gifted education programs.
- Demonstrated expertise in core subjects including math (Algebra, Geometry, Calculus), literacy education, creative writing, and physical education.
- Strong background in classroom management techniques tailored for gifted learners with diverse learning styles; experience working with children requiring special education accommodations is a plus.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures, curriculum development processes, and educational regulation compliance.
- Excellent communication skills for effective public speaking, mentoring students, collaborating with colleagues, and engaging parents or guardians when necessary.
- Knowledge of learning technology platforms and tools used to support differentiated instruction and academic advising.
- Experience in educational administration roles such as lesson planning oversight or curriculum coordination enhances your ability to lead within an academic setting.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
