Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electromechanical Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electromechanical systems that ensure smooth production operations. Your expertise in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems will be vital to optimizing equipment performance and safety. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electromechanical equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues involving low voltage, high voltage, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ammeters, ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Repair and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including hydraulics components and related machinery.
- Conduct welding tasks using welding techniques to repair or fabricate mechanical parts as needed.
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and field service activities for new equipment or upgrades in the manufacturing environment.
- Interpret electrical and mechanical schematics to diagnose faults accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards such as HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) regulations and industrial electrician practices.
- Support maintenance team in analyzing system failures and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Operate equipment such as scissor lifts safely for elevated maintenance tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service by collaborating with technical sales teams or internal clients to resolve operational issues promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with industrial electrician tasks involving low and high voltage systems.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and analysis skills for troubleshooting complex machinery.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments like ammeters and ohmmeters; experience working with hydraulic systems is essential.
- Ability to perform welding using welding techniques; experience in HVAC/R systems is a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of industrial mechanics, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and safety standards related to industrial maintenance.
- Experience working with CMMS software for maintenance planning and record keeping.
- Valid certification or experience in industrial electrician work; military background is considered an asset.
- Ability to operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts safely; familiarity with manufacturing processes is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English; ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
