Groundskeeper/Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
FreedomREMI is looking for a dependable, hardworking Groundskeeper / Maintenance Technician, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our facilities. This energetic position combines outdoor groundskeeping with maintenance responsibilities, ensuring that our environment remains inviting, safe, and operational. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming space for residents, visitors, and staff alike.
Duties
- Maintain the overall appearance of apartment commmunities.
- Mow, trim, edge and maintain lawns and landscaping.
- Pick up trash and debris throughout the property.
- Clean common areas such as sidewalks and parking lots.
- Assist with seasonal landscaping and snow/ice removal when needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance on grounds equipment.
- Complete basic maintenance tasks including: Changing light bulbs, Replacing air filters, Minor plumbing repairs, Minor electrical repairs, Painting and touch-ups, Basic unit turns and repairs, Respond to maintenance work orders as assigned
- Follow safety procedures and company standards.
- Work with the property management team to keep communities clean, safe, and well maintained
Experience
- No prior groundskeeping and maintenance experience required.
- We provide paid, on the job training.
- We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
- Experience with landscaping, maintenance, construction, or general labor is a plus , but not required.
- Ability to operate CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Customer service orientation is valued for interacting with residents or clients
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
