Registered Nurse (RN) – Adult Care Unit (ACU) | Chinle, AZ
Wander Staffing is seeking 13 (thirteen) Registered Nurses to support the Indian Health Service (IHS) at Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility (CCHCF) in Chinle, Arizona. This role provides direct inpatient nursing care within the Adult Care Unit (ACU), including comprehensive adult medical-surgical care, medication administration, clinical procedures, patient assessment, care coordination, and documentation.

Position is onsite within the inpatient Medical-Surgical Adult Care Unit (ACU)

Nurses may rotate into other clinical areas as needed to support patient care

Housing, meals, travel, and transportation are not provided

12-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch
-
Approximately 7 shifts per two-week period

Rotating day and night shifts
-
Must be available to work weekends and holidays based on unit needs

Anticipated Contract Start Date: September 1, 2026

Contract Duration: Two (2) years

The contract term is between the Government and Wander Staffing. As with any position, if circumstances require you to leave prior to contract completion, a 60-day notice is required
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

Graduate of an approved professional nursing program
-
Current, valid, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in any U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory

Minimum of 36 months of nursing experience

Minimum of 24 months of experience in the ACU

Current BLS
-
Current ACLS
-
Successfully complete required federal background checks, security investigations, fingerprinting, and pre-employment screening

Ability to effectively communicate in English and work respectfully with American Indian and Alaska Native patients and communities

Provide a full range of adult medical-surgical nursing care to patients admitted to the Adult Care Unit

Administer medications, IV medications, and IV infusions and monitor for therapeutic effects, side effects, and complications

Perform IV access, phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, EKGs, respiratory treatments, and emergency/code response

Document patient care accurately and timely using the CCHCF Electronic Health Record

Coordinate care and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team
