What Makes This Position Different?

As a Clinical Instructor, you'll receive support and opportunities to mentor physical therapy students through our academic partnerships while earning additional incentives for student supervision.
This position also provides a pathway toward future clinic director and management opportunities.
ResponsibilitiesClinical Care
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based orthopedic rehabilitation and manual therapy
- Monitor patient progress and outcomes
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and self-management
- Complete timely and compliant documentation
Leadership
- Mentor PTs, PTAs, aides, and support staff
- Assist with clinic operations and quality initiatives
- Support staff development and onboarding
- Collaborate with physicians, referral sources, and administration
Clinical Instruction
- Supervise and mentor physical therapy students
- Complete student evaluations and CPI assessments
- Coordinate with academic programs and clinical education faculty
- Foster a positive learning environment focused on excellence in patient care
QualificationsRequired
- Active California Physical Therapist License
- Minimum 2 years of outpatient orthopedic experience
- Strong manual therapy and orthopedic evaluation skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to manage a full caseload efficiently
Preferred
- APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Prior student supervision experience
- Clinic lead or supervisory experience
- OCS, FAAOMPT, MDT, or other advanced certifications
