Be More Than Someone Who Runs Patients Through Exercises
Great PTA care requires more than following a treatment sheet.
You are paying attention to how the patient moves, how they respond, what is improving, and what needs to be communicated back to the Physical Therapist.
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will:
- Deliver skilled treatment interventions under the direction of the Physical Therapist
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercise and movement progressions
- Help patients improve strength, mobility, function, and confidence
- Monitor how patients respond throughout each session
- Communicate meaningful changes and observations to the supervising PT
- Reinforce treatment goals and patient education
- Keep patients engaged and motivated throughout recovery
- Build strong relationships with the people you treat
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Your work directly contributes to the progress patients make between evaluation and discharge.
Work Closely With Physical Therapists Who Value Your Input
Strong patient outcomes come from a team that communicates well.
At Anchor Physical Therapy, you will work alongside Physical Therapists who value collaboration and understand how important a skilled PTA is to the patient experience.
You will have opportunities to:
- Communicate patient progress directly with Physical Therapists
- Share changes in symptoms, movement, and treatment response
- Collaborate on appropriate treatment progression
- Participate in clinical conversations
- Ask questions and learn from experienced clinicians
- Contribute ideas that improve the patient experience
- Help create consistent, high-quality care throughout the plan of care
Keep Building Your Skills as a PTA
Getting your license should be the beginning of your development, not the end of it.
Anchor Physical Therapy supports continued clinical growth through:
- Structured mentorship
- Hands-on clinical training
- Real-time coaching and feedback
- Collaborative case discussions
- Continuing education support
- Professional development opportunities
- Ongoing support as your clinical confidence grows
You will have experienced clinicians around you who can answer questions, help you think through patient presentations, and support your continued development.
New Graduate PTAs Are Welcome
Your first PTA position can shape the kind of clinician you become.
We want new graduates to have the support to build confidence without feeling like they have to figure everything out alone.
New graduate support includes:
- Comprehensive onboarding
- Structured mentorship from experienced clinicians
- Hands-on training
- Regular coaching and feedback
- Close collaboration with Physical Therapists
- Gradual caseload development
- Ongoing clinical guidance as your skills develop
You will have the opportunity to learn while still taking an active role in patient care.
Experienced PTAs Can Keep Growing Too
If you already have experience, we want you to be able to use it.
Experienced Physical Therapist Assistants will have opportunities to:
- Take an active role in patient progression
- Use your experience and clinical observations within the care team
- Continue strengthening your clinical skills
- Pursue professional development opportunities
- Support newer clinicians and team members
- Contribute ideas that improve the patient experience
- Grow alongside Anchor Physical Therapy
Your experience should give you room to contribute more, not leave you feeling stuck doing the same thing year after year.
Build Relationships That Make the Work Meaningful
As a PTA, you often spend significant time helping patients through the hardest part of their recovery.
You see the small wins.
You help them through frustrating days.
You watch their strength, mobility, and confidence come back.
At Anchor Physical Therapy, you will have the opportunity to build real relationships with patients while helping them see and feel their progress.
That connection is an important part of the care we provide.

- Work-life balance
