Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Director to lead our Mother Baby Unit, ensuring the delivery of exceptional maternal and neonatal care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing, healthcare management, and specialized knowledge in physiology and anatomy related to maternal and infant health. As Clinical Director, you will oversee clinical operations, supervise nursing staff, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations while fostering a compassionate and patient-centered environment. Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for the Mother Baby Unit, ensuring high standards of patient care, safety, and quality outcomes.
- Supervise nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams, offering mentorship, training, and performance evaluations to promote professional development.
- Develop, implement, and review care plans tailored to residents’ needs, integrating case management principles and evidence-based practices.
- Oversee documentation review, medical records management, and compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Monitor patient progress through diligent observation, utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for accurate data entry and reporting.
- Manage shift scheduling, resource allocation, and staffing levels to ensure optimal coverage while maintaining budgetary constraints.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for residents’ postpartum recovery and neonatal health.
- Ensure adherence to Medicare guidelines, regulatory standards, and hospital policies related to acute care, hospice care, assisted living, home health, and home care services.
Experience
- Proven management experience within a healthcare setting specializing in maternal-child health or related fields such as critical care or acute care.
- Supervising experience with nursing teams or multidisciplinary staff in environments utilizing EMR systems for documentation review and patient monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to obstetrics, neonatology, and general nursing practices.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations governing medical records confidentiality and documentation standards.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in shift management, case management coordination, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Experience working within Medicare guidelines or similar reimbursement frameworks is highly desirable.
