Overview
Looking for a rockstar dental assistant to join our growing team. Ideal candidate has at least 1-3 years of experience working as a dental assistant, has phenomenal interpersonal skills, and works well in a team setting. Compensation is negotiable based off of level of experience.
Duties
- Assist dentist during a variety of dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Take dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners while adhering to strict infection control and aseptic techniques.
- Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.
- Monitor vital signs and assist with medical history updates to support safe treatment planning.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and answer their questions with clear, compassionate communication.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, and performing front desk duties as a dental receptionist when needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental assisting within a busy dental clinic environment, with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security
- Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals.
- Experience with Open Dental is a plus
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
