Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor and observe patients for changes in conditions, and overall well-being; document observations accurately to support care plans.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal consumption to promote health and independence.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning patient areas and common spaces.
- Engage in meaningful social interactions, provide emotional support, and implement personalized care plans aligned with each individual’s preferences and needs.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred.
- Certification or training in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance or hospice care are advantageous.
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in health status; ability to communicate effectively with team members and families.
- Physical stamina for activities involving standing for extended periods, assisting with heavy lifting, and performing patient transfers safely.
