Overview We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and be proficient in various accounting software applications.
Job Title: Accounting Clerk
Job Summary: The Accounting Clerk will perform routine clerical, filing, and data entry tasks for accounting data including sales tax reporting, accounts payable and receivable, and billing.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Daily data input tracking P.O.S. and payment detail
· Apply technical accounting knowledge to ensure accuracy in financial records
· Sales Tax Reporting
· Provide back-up for Great Plains accounts payable process
· Maintain documents and filing for both AS400 and GP accounts payable remittances
· Assemble financial data for audits
· Participate in monthly close process
· Any other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer software and systems.
· Strong mathematical skills.
· Exceptional organizational skills.
· Good verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Bookkeeping training preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
