American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position working night shifts with required fetal monitoring certification.

Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
-
Night shift schedule: 7PM–7AM
-
13-week contract
-
Active RN license in TX or a compact state
-
Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
-
Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)
-
Current NRP certification required
-
Current fetal monitoring certification required: AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)

Minimum 1 year of L&D or perinatal nursing experience preferred

BSN preferred

US Social Security Number required for consideration

2 professional references required for consideration

Responsibilities include nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients

Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side-effects and treatment effectiveness

Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
-
Provides patient and family education, identifying learning needs and available resources
-
New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member and must complete organizational and Perinatal Services-specific competency validations

All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days
-
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
