We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Dental Laboratory Technician / Driver to join our growing team. This unique role combines hands-on work in a dental laboratory with delivery and pickup responsibilities for local dental offices. As a Dental Laboratory Technician / Driver, you will assist with various laboratory processes, case preparation, quality control procedures, and the safe transportation of dental cases, impressions, restorations, and laboratory materials. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values precision, and enjoys a combination of laboratory and driving responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver dental cases, impressions, crowns, bridges, dentures, appliances, and related materials to and from dental offices.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure all cases are transported safely and securely.
- Receive incoming cases and verify prescriptions, instructions, and materials.
- Assist with case preparation, model work, trimming, polishing, finishing, and other laboratory support functions.
- Package completed cases for delivery while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Perform quality checks to confirm cases are complete and ready for delivery.
- Maintain organization of cases throughout the production process.
- Clean and maintain laboratory equipment, workstations, and common areas.
- Assist technicians and department managers with daily laboratory operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stocking laboratory supplies and materials.
- Follow all company safety procedures and infection control protocols.
- Communicate professionally with dental offices regarding case pickups, deliveries, and scheduling.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous dental laboratory, dental office, manufacturing, production, or delivery experience preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.
- Ability to follow written instructions and case prescriptions accurately.
- Basic computer skills for case tracking and documentation.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and carry packages and materials up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a dental laboratory environment.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, dental prosthetics, crowns, bridges, dentures, implants, or orthodontic appliances.
- Experience with polishing, finishing, model work, or other laboratory procedures.
- Familiarity with case management software or digital workflows.
