Duties
- Safely operate a dedicated box truck with manual transmission, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using proper techniques, including forklift or roll-off truck handling when necessary
- Manage route driving efficiently, optimizing delivery schedules for punctuality and customer satisfaction
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking refrigerated trailers or flatbeds if applicable
- Document delivery details accurately, including mileage, cargo status, and delivery confirmations
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route updates, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the truck to ensure optimal performance throughout your shift
