Aging Services Administrator Economic Security Program (ESP)
Grant Funded ($45,000 - $55,000 annually)
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Under administrative direction, plans and administers a specific project or program for the Department of Aging. Serves as the administrative supervisor on projects or programs. Plans, assigns, supervises, and reviews activities of subordinate personnel. Monitors the project/program's operating budget and assists in the annual preparation of same. Designs, implements, and monitors procedures utilized in program evaluation. Develops and secures commitments from other City departments and agencies to provide services to program participants. Provides technical assistance or reviews program policies and procedures. Maintains current information and oversees the preparation of project status reports. Prepares financial and narrative reports and program applications. Communicates project/program status and information to municipal officials and/or public and private entities. May supervise employees assigned to the respective project. Performs other related duties as required. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Additional Duties:
- Respond to service referrals and requests from elderly individuals and adults with disabilities via phone, email, or in-person visits.

Provide comprehensive case management services addressing complex financial concerns, including foreclosure, unemployment, and access to legal assistance.

Conduct in-depth assessments to identify client needs, values, and preferences to develop individualized service plans.

Perform home visits to meet their needs and provide direct support to older adults and adults with disabilities.

Maintain and update multiple data systems, including the Social Administration Management System (SAMS), to track client services and outcomes. Achieve monthly service unit requirements.

Participate actively in Scam Squad committee meetings to help protect clients from financial exploitation and fraud.

Collaborate closely with internal Aging staff, other City of Cleveland departments, and external community-based organizations to ensure coordinated service delivery.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of social service systems, public and private assistance programs, and government agencies that support older adults and individuals with disabilities.

Facilitate public education efforts and community presentations to promote awareness of available resources and services

Collaborate with Aging and Disability Resource Center co-workers and Aging and Disability Resource Network partners to comprehensively assist older adults and adults with disabilities.

Actively participate in Department of Aging efforts towards an Age Friendly Cleveland
