About the RoleAs a Medical Receptionist, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our practice. You will support our providers and ensure a positive experience for patients from their first interaction to their final visit.Key Responsibilities
- Patient Communication: Answer phones, greet patients, and provide information in a warm and professional manner
- Scheduling: Manage appointments, including bookings, reschedules, and cancellations
- Record Management: Maintain accurate patient records in both physical and electronic systems (EHR)
- Billing & Insurance: Collect copayments and DME payments, assist with billing inquiries, and communicate with our private biller
- Administrative Support: Print provider schedules, prepare documents, manage correspondence, and assist with clerical tasks
- Medical Transcription: Transcribe medical letters accurately and in a timely manner
- Referrals: Request insurance referrals from primary care providers and other healthcare offices
- HIPAA Compliance: Maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional, patient, and discreet when handling sensitive information
- High school diploma required; additional training in Medical Administration is a plus
Growth OpportunityThis position offers the potential to grow into a Medical Assistant role.
