Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) is seeking a Social Media Coordinator plays a key role within the Marketing &Communications team, supporting content creation, scheduling, and digital storytelling that elevates Habitat LA’s mission. This role works closely with the Director of Digital Content and a collaborative team totranslate programs, partnerships, and events into engaging social media content that drives awareness, volunteer engagement, and fundraising.
- Develop, create, and publish engaging social media content, including photos, short-form videos, graphics, stories, and reels across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms to promote Habitat LA’s programs, fundraising campaigns, volunteer opportunities, events, partnerships, and community impact.

Attend build sites, volunteer activities, special events, ReStore locations, and community activations to capture high-quality photo and video content. Coordinate with staff, volunteers, homeowners, donors, and partners to identify and document compelling stories while following applicable consent and privacy requirements.

Write clear, engaging captions and campaign messaging that reflect Habitat LA’s brand voice, mission, and key messages. Adapt content for each platform and audience while maintaining accuracy, consistency, accessibility, and appropriate grammar.

Track key performance indicators such as reach, impressions, engagement, follower growth, video views, website traffic, and campaign results. Assist with monthly reports, identify content trends, and recommend adjustments to improve future performance.

Must have access to reliable transportation to perform job duties, a valid CA Driver’s License, and meet the state-required amount of personal automobile liability insurance and occasionally work evenings or weekends for events.

Must have a reliable internet connection

At least 1–2 years of experience managing social media content for an organization or brand.

Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with attention to brand voice and accuracy.

Experience creating and publishing content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social platforms.

Familiarity with social media scheduling, management, and analytics tools.

Ability to capture high-quality photos and short-form videos at events, build sites, and community activities.

Basic knowledge of content editing tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.

Ability to track performance metrics and assist with social media reporting.

Pay Range: $22.00 - $25.00
Salary offers are based on several factors, including job-related knowledge, experience, and qualifications. Offers are between the entry to mid-level range.
