Position Summary:
The Tasting Room Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable wine-tasting experiences for guests. This position serves as a brand ambassador for Loving Cup, providing education about our wines, vineyard practices, and winemaking process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet all guests promptly and courteously, creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Conduct wine tastings and educate visitors about the winery’s history, varietals, and production methods
- Accurately describe wine characteristics and recommend products based on guest preferences
- Operate point-of-sale system
- Support the set-up and breakdown of the tasting room and maintain overall cleanliness and organization
- Ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with local and state regulations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current wine releases and winery offerings
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Prior experience in hospitality, customer service, or wine sales preferred
- Friendly, professional demeanor with strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings
