Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook sautéed dishes according to established recipes, menu specifications, and presentation standards
- Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are strictly followed to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection, portion sizes, and cooking techniques
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation to facilitate efficient food preparation and cooking processes
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation during busy service times
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients needed for sautéed dishes and communicate supply needs promptly
- Support catering events or special meal requests by preparing high-quality sautéed items with attention to detail
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles, with a strong understanding of food handling procedures
- Prior culinary experience in fine dining or restaurant settings, demonstrating excellent knife skills and food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety regulations within the food industry
- Hands-on experience with food service operations, including cooking, plating, and serving dishes efficiently
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment used for sautéing and general food industry tools
- Strong attention to detail in food presentation, portion control, and cleanliness standards
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining high-quality standards
