Tom N Toms Houston is seeking a motivated and reliable Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in the daily operations of our bakery-café. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for food, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to lead a team.
Duties
- Assist the Store Manager in daily operations and management of the store.
- Ensure that all employees are trained effectively in customer service, sales techniques, and store policies.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, pricing accuracy, and product displays.
- Contribute to budgeting processes and monitor financial performance against targets.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Conduct employee orientation and training development programs to enhance team performance.
- Utilize retail math skills to analyze sales data and make informed decisions regarding pricing and promotions.
- Support payroll processes by ensuring accurate timekeeping and employee records.
- Negotiate with vendors as needed to secure favorable terms for products and services.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
