Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Professional to provide exceptional care to individuals with varying needs within Complete Best Care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting Mental Ill and I/DD population, and those who require assistance with community living support. Responsibilities
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to residents' dietary needs and preferences.
- Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed, track medication schedules, and monitor for side effects.
- Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the home, including laundry and general tidying up.
- Safety: Ensure the home environment is safe and secure, including monitoring for any hazards and implementing safety measures.
- Health Monitoring: Regularly check residents' health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Social Interaction: Facilitate social and recreational activities to enhance residents' quality of life and encourage social engagement.
- Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, addressing their needs and concerns.
- Emergency Procedures: Implement and follow emergency procedures, including first aid and contacting emergency services if needed.
- Crisis Management: Address and manage any crisis situations or unexpected events promptly and effectively.
Requirements
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Background Check: Pass a criminal background check.
- Training: Complete state-approved training program, including CPR and first aid.
- Additional Training Requirements: Complete a Michigan-approved direct care worker training program covering:
- Basic caregiving skills
- Resident rights
- Emergency procedures
- Infection control
- Personal care
- Health: Submit a health assessment and complete a TB Test.
- Experience: Previous experience may be preferred but is not always required.
- Skills: Demonstrate effective communication, empathy, and basic caregiving skills

- Caregiving: 1 year (Required)
