Petroleum Equipment Technicians are responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of:
- Fuel dispensing equipment, including suction pumps, submersible pumps, dispensers, valves, meters, hoses, nozzles, automatic tank gauges, fuel management systems, point of sale systems, underground and above ground storage tanks
- Electrical systems and circuits, up to 3 phase 230 VAC as well as simple 12-24 VDC systems
- Electronic systems and components, including printed circuit boards, power supplies, displays, etc.
- LAN Networks, Network Cabling, and Basic Network Setup/Troubleshooting
- Piping and Valve Systems, Including pressurized piping, automated and mechanical valves, monitor and control systems
Additional Responsibilities:
- Scheduled and unplanned maintenance and repair on those systems
- Responding to after hours emergency service requests for "site down" or other priority situations
- Maintaining a company furnished vehicle and inventory of repair parts
- Adhering to all safety policies, reporting any unsafe conditions, following safety procedures
- Completing online and class room training courses, including regular re-certifications
- Maintaining a library of service, parts, and installation manuals
- Working with a team on special projects
