Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet client specifications and safety standards. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and patching to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, primers, and other coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools
- Read blueprints and schematics to determine project scope, color schemes based on color theory principles, and specific application instructions
- Perform surface repairs including plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, and drywall restoration to ensure smooth finishes
- Operate construction equipment like scaffolding, ladders, and lifts safely while adhering to site safety protocols
- Execute specialized painting tasks such as industrial painting or construction site painting with precision and attention to detail
- Assist with renovation projects by installing fixtures, framing carpentry components, or performing basic carpentry tasks like remodeling or fixture installation
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the project to ensure consistent color matching and finish standards
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials in accordance with safety regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or construction painting environments with a strong understanding of surface preparation and finishing techniques
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to painting projects is a plus
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Hands-on experience with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers; power tools including sanders or spray equipment; welding experience is advantageous
- Skills in plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, concrete finishing or restoration are highly desirable
- Ability to work safely at heights using scaffolding or lifts while following all safety protocols on construction sites
- Strong understanding of color theory for effective color matching and aesthetic finishes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with handyman experience or maintenance background preferred
- Construction site experience including familiarity with schematics and industrial painting techniques will set candidates apart
