Champions Forest Animal Clinic is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Veterinary Technician to join our growing team! We are a busy, family-oriented general practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and outstanding client service. Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of veterinary technician experience required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Comfortable handling and assisting with exotic pets, including rabbits, reptiles, guinea pigs, hamsters, and other small mammals
- Strong communication and client education skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Safely restrain dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, and other small exotic pets
- Collect laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and fecal specimens
- Perform in-house laboratory testing
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical preparation and recovery
- Perform dental cleanings and dental radiographs (experience preferred)
- Obtain patient histories and accurately maintain medical records
- Educate clients on preventive care, medications, nutrition, and treatment plans
- Assist with digital radiography and diagnostic imaging
- Provide compassionate nursing care to hospitalized patients
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment area
- Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to provide exceptional patient care
