CHEC Palm Beach is seeking a dedicated Library class teacher to join our team beginning in August 18th.
Do you love children's books and have a passion for helping students discover the joy of reading?
CHEC is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and engaging Elementary Library Teacher to lead our brand-new "The World of Books" program for students in Grades 1–5.
This is much more than a traditional library class. Our goal is to spark curiosity, foster a lifelong love of reading, and introduce students to the incredible world of books through interactive lessons, engaging read-alouds, and hands-on exploration.

Position Details:
Schedule: Tuesday 930am-245pm Chec Academy & Thursday 9:15am-2:15pm Chec the Center
Location: Chec The Center 8288 Jog Rd, Boynton Beach FL 33472
Chec Academy 2101 6th Ave S, Lake Worth, FL 33461
Grade Levels: Elementary School
Schedule: Four-1 hour class periods. (1st grade, 2nd-3rd grade, 3rd-4th, 4th-5th)
Lessons: Curriculum provided
Compensation: $25 per hour
Responsibilities
- Teach weekly library classes for students in Grades 1–5.
- Prepare engaging lessons using our provided curriculum.
- Create an inviting weekly display of books centered around each lesson's theme.
- Read aloud to students and lead meaningful discussions.
- Encourage independent exploration and a love of literature.
- Maintain a welcoming, organized classroom environment.
- Inspire students to become confident, curious readers.
Qualifications
- Loves working with elementary-aged children.
- Passion for books, reading, and children's literature.
- Organized, dependable, and creative.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to foster a positive, Christ-centered learning environment.
