Essential Duties
Transport materials within production departments as needed.
Operate grinding equipment in a safe manner.
Demonstrate the ability to recognize the different materials to ensure that regrind is not mixed or contaminated.
Properly identify and tag all boxes of regrind.
Complete the appropriate end-of-shift paperwork.
Inspect and recognize any defective material and make needed adjustments to correct any issues.
Assemble, load, and unload materials to the designated area using appropriate equipment including a forklift,
clamp lift, barcode readers, and safety equipment.
Troubleshoot any equipment problems.
Perform minor maintenance on the grinder.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment properly at all times.
Works to maintain a safe work environment for co-workers.
Ability to work closely with team members and assist others in interrelated tasks as needed or as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
2+ years of forklift and truck loading experience is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Office, Excel, and overall ability to use technology. ERP experience is appreciated.
Experience in a lean manufacturing environment is beneficial.
Must have attention to detail, a sense of urgency, be self-directed and display strong organizational skills.
Must be able to communicate and work well with others.
