Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care services. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping clients maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers
- Administer medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and restrictions
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
- Accompany clients to appointments or outings as needed
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Document client progress and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Reliable transportation to travel to client locations
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
