Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing a wide range of mechanical systems across commercial and residential properties. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical components, and building automation systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of HVAC equipment including air conditioning units, mechanical systems, and ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately identify issues and implement solutions.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics utilizing tools such as ohmmeters to ensure proper system operation.
- Repair or replace mechanical components such as motors, compressors, valves, welders, and other equipment to restore system functionality.
- Maintain compliance with EPA regulations by handling refrigerants safely and performing necessary certifications.
- Provide excellent field service by communicating clearly with clients about work performed and recommended upgrades or repairs.
Skills
- Proven construction experience combined with service technician expertise in HVAC/R systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to repair complex mechanical systems including boilers and property maintenance equipment.
- Skilled in reading schematics, electrical diagnostics, plumbing layouts, and HVAC design principles.
- Experience working with building automation systems (BAS) for efficient climate control management.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration and appliance repair techniques.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment for mechanical repairs.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers preferred.
- Certifications including EPA refrigerant handling certification; additional credentials in HVAC/R or boiler operation are advantageous.
