Storm Response Roofing | Chicago Suburbs | 1099 Contract
Storm Response Roofing is a licensed and bonded Illinois roofing contractor specializing in insurance restoration across Illinois. We are hiring experienced door-to-door sales representatives to join a small, focused team.
Compensation
- $50,000 base pay
- 30% commission on the net proceeds of every job you close, uncapped
- $5,000 sign-on bonus, paid after 30 days

About the role
We work storm-affected neighborhoods following hail and wind events. You will canvass those areas, inspect properties, sign the homeowner, and carry the claim through approval and completion.
You will also write the full claim, not just the roof. Hail damages siding, gutters, downspouts, fascia, wraps, screens, and windows, and each of those is a line item the carrier owes. Representatives who inspect only the shingles leave significant money on the table on every file, both for the homeowner and for themselves. We will train you to document a complete elevation.
This is insurance restoration work. We do not compete on retail bids.
Responsibilities
- Canvass storm-affected neighborhoods and schedule inspections
- Perform roof and full exterior inspections, documenting damage with photo and video
- Present findings to homeowners and sign contracts
- File claims and meet insurance adjusters on site
- Coordinate with production through completion and collection
- Maintain an accurate pipeline in our CRM
Requirements
- One year of door-to-door sales experience. Industry does not matter. Roofing, solar, pest control, alarms, fiber, and energy backgrounds are all welcome.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Ability to safely climb a ladder and walk a roof
- Smartphone capable of photo and video documentation
- Comfort presenting to homeowners and working directly with insurance adjusters
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Evening and select Saturday availability
Insurance claim experience is preferred but not required. We will train the claims process.
