We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused CT Technologist to join a leading healthcare organization in Plano, Texas. As a CT Technologist, you will perform diagnostic CT examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols, ensuring patient safety, image quality, and compliance with all regulatory standards. You will work closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnoses and outstanding clinical outcomes.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering a consistent weekend night schedule, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to become part of a collaborative healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
● Perform high-quality CT examinations following physician orders and established imaging protocols.
● Prepare, position, and educate patients before imaging procedures.
● Operate CT imaging equipment safely and efficiently to produce accurate diagnostic images.
● Verify patient identification, physician orders, and clinical history prior to each examination.
● Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures and respond appropriately to their needs.
● Administer contrast media when appropriate and in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
● Ensure compliance with radiation safety, infection prevention, and quality assurance standards.
● Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within the appropriate systems.
● Perform routine equipment quality checks and report any maintenance concerns.
● Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate diagnostic services.
Minimum Qualifications
● Minimum 1 year of CT experience.
● Current ARRT Certification.
● Active Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) License.
● Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
● Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures, anatomy, radiation safety, and patient care.
● Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Preferred Qualifications
● Previous experience in an acute care hospital or high-volume imaging department.
● Experience administering contrast media.
● Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Schedule
● Full-Time
● Weekend Nights
● Three 12-hour shifts per week (3x12)
● 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
● On-call rotation every 6 weeks
Compensation
● $80,000 – $105,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
