Position Summary
The Social Cafe & Lounge is looking for an outgoing, reliable, and hospitality-focused Bartender to join our team. This position is responsible for providing excellent guest service, preparing quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, supporting our nightly events, and helping maintain the fun and welcoming atmosphere of The Social Cafe & Lounge.
Our bartenders should be comfortable working in both a relaxed lounge environment and during busy special events.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, coffee beverages, and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Follow Social Cafe & Lounge recipes, portions, and presentation standards.
- Provide friendly and attentive bar service to guests.
- Take food and beverage orders and accurately operate the POS system.
- Bartend and serve during nightly events and special events.
- Check guest identification and follow all responsible alcohol-service requirements.
- Monitor guests and practice responsible alcohol service.
- Assist with food preparation and cooking when needed.
- Serve food and beverages to guests throughout the cafe and lounge.
- Set up and break down the bar and service areas for nightly events.
- Maintain proper levels of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies.
- Keep the bar, equipment, glassware, and surrounding areas clean and organized.
- Complete opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking.
- Communicate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods and events.
- Create a welcoming, energetic, and professional atmosphere for every guest.
Qualifications
- Previous bartending, serving, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic cocktails, beer, wine, and responsible alcohol service.
- Comfortable making both alcoholic beverages and cafe-style drinks.
- Comfortable assisting with food preparation and cooking when necessary.
- Strong guest-service and communication skills.
- Able to multitask and remain organized during high-volume events.
- Reliable, punctual, professional, and team-oriented.
- Must meet all legal requirements for serving alcohol.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events, is preferred.

We’re looking for someone who can bring personality and professionalism behind the bar while creating a fun, welcoming experience for our guests during regular cafe service and our nightly events.
Pay: $16.90 - $17.50 per hour
