Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and directing production line staff across multiple departments. This role ensures that daily production targets are met while maintaining a safe work environment and upholding product quality standards. Success in this role hinges on effective coordination of production activities with the Maintenance Department, as well as seamless collaboration with Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Training and managing production personnel, including setting performance standards and conducting evaluations.
· Supervising and overseeing the production line to ensure machinery runs smoothly and products meet established standards.
· Collaborating with other department managers to synchronize production processes in alignment with broader operational goals.
· Enforced strict adherence to health and safety regulations, fostering a culture of safety and minimizing workplace incidents.
· Administers employee discipline and termination procedures in accordance with company policies and labor regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities:

· Develop and manage daily staffing plans to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow across production lines.
· Conduct regular visual line checks to verify product quality, accurate labeling, and proper packaging in accordance with company standards.
· Review, collect, and track production metrics. Report performance trends, variances, and operational insights to management for continuous improvement.
· Collaborate with Customer Service, Purchasing, and Logistics to resolve daily production challenges and maintain smooth operations.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· A minimum of 3 – 5 years of related experience as a supervisor in a high-speed, high-volume manufacturing environment.
· Experience in aluminum and/or plastic packaging, food or consumer products industry preferred.
· Familiarity with GMP, quality, and hygiene standards for food manufacturing.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods—often most of the workday—while monitoring production lines and interacting with staff.
· May need to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, such as tools, materials, or packaging supplies.
· Required occasionally to inspect equipment, access low areas, or assist with line adjustments.
· Regularly performs physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, reaching overhead, and crouching to inspect equipment or access production areas.
· Must possess sufficient visual acuity and depth perception to inspect product quality, read labels, and monitor machinery.
· May be exposed to loud noises, varying temperatures, and manufacturing odors. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.

Additional Information
Handi-Foil believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is: Hiring Pay Range $62,400 USD - $75,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in a discretionary annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
Pay: $62,400.00 - $75,000.00 per year
