Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our busy dental practice, offering both part-time and full-time opportunities. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing a wide range of administrative and clinical support tasks. Duties
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently
- Schedule appointments using dental practice management software Eaglesoft, ensuring optimal clinic flow
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance claims
- Collect payments, process co-pays, and manage billing procedures with attention to accuracy and HIPAA compliance
- Maintain accurate medical records and update electronic health records (EHR) systems in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies
- Assist with patient intake forms, documentation review, and updating medical history for new and returning patients
- Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, provide excellent patient service, and address inquiries promptly
- Support office management tasks such as filing, faxing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing electronic health records (EHR)
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental or medical office environment is highly preferred; clinic experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of health insurance processes including verification, claims submission, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, Medicare procedures, and medical billing practices
- Familiarity with dental terminology and clinical confidentiality policies is advantageous
- Proficiency in dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with EMR systems like Epic or Meditech is desirable
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and electronic health record management systems
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations
- Office management skills including filing, documentation review, scheduling coordination, insurance verification, and administrative support
