Requirements for the Cook Position:
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· Ability to work & learn in a fast-paced environment.
· Finisher & Broiler Experience is preferred for our Line Cooks.
As a Cook, your job is to:
· Efficiently prepare food items as ordered.
· Exercise food safety and kitchen sanitation practices in order to deliver a quality product.
· Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes.
· Properly prepare meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients.
· Stay ahead of orders by anticipating demand throughout shift.
· Maintain cleanliness and working order of work area, tools, equipment, and supplies.
· Prepare and maintain the line and par levels as required by the current menu.
· Keep walk in cooler/freezer organized.
· May assist with inventory temp logs and waste logs.
· Our Prep Cooks handle much of the prep for all ingredients going into our dishes during service. This position often works under little supervision, so you must be able to follow recipes & be well-versed in a variety of food products and techniques. The quality of the prep work is instrumental in the quality of the finished product.
· As a Line Cook, you’ll set up your station and participate in prep. You’re expected to put out consistent, quality food with the desire to learn and grow in the kitchen. You should be able to follow recipes and take direction from the Chef or Sous Chef, exploring your creativity where appropriate.
· Performs other related duties as assigned by a Manager.
