Job Description
Ring0 Technologies (“Ring Zero”) is seeking a talented Mid Software Engineer to design, develop, and enhance complex and diverse software systems. The successful candidate will contribute to high-performance analytics, algorithm development, large-scale data processing, and real-time system applications. This position involves both independent work and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver secure, reliable, and efficient software solutions that meet mission requirements. The candidate will participate in all phases of the software lifecycle — from requirements analysis and design to testing, deployment, and maintenance — while ensuring adherence to established development standards and methodologies.

Required Skills
Design, code, test, and maintain complex software components in support of mission-critical systems.
Analyze user requirements to derive design and performance specifications, ensuring software meets functional and security objectives.
Modify and enhance existing software to correct defects, improve performance, or adapt to new environments.
Integrate and validate software components within diverse system architectures.
Develop and execute test procedures; document and resolve software problem reports.
Implement algorithms and data processing techniques that optimize system performance.
Contribute to software and system documentation, providing recommendations for process and documentation improvements
Collaborate with system engineers, hardware engineers, and other developers to define interfaces and performance requirements.
Participate in DevOps and CI/CD activities, supporting build, deployment, and automation pipelines.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and contribute to team quality assurance efforts.
Qualifications:Required:
US Citizen with an active TS/SCI FS Poly
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
5+ years of software engineering experience
Proficiency in one or more of the following: C, C++, C#, Java, or Python
Experience developing applications in Windows or UNIX/Linux environments
Hands-on experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Artifactory, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Packer)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo)
Strong understanding of software design principles, system integration, and performance optimization
Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex software systems
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams

Desired Skills
Experience designing or implementing complex algorithms and data-driven solutions
Familiarity with database design and query development (SQL or NoSQL)
Experience with system performance analysis and resource optimization
Working knowledge of COTS/GOTS integration and system-level design considerations
Prior experience leading small development teams or mentoring junior engineers
Industry certifications in software engineering, DevOps, or cloud technologies
