Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive dental care with a focus on the health needs of the patients
- Perform preliminary and existing charting of the oral cavity and surrounding structures
- Perform initial and periodic examinations and assessments
- Formulate a dental hygiene treatment plan in coordination with a dentist’s treatment plan
- Complete debridement, prophylaxis, and nonsurgical periodontal therapy; place subgingival medicaments.
- Provide nutritional counseling
- Administer nitrous oxide inhalation analgesia and monitor patient
- Apply topical medications including fluoride varnishes and desensitizing agents
Qualifications
- Dental Hygienist license
- CPR/AED certification
- Experience working with culturally diverse communities preferred
- Proficiency in a second language preferred
Rochester Clinic Shift:
Monday: 7:50am – 3pm
Friday: 7:50am-2pm
