At Enhanced Open Door Supported Living Services (SLS), we are dedicated to providing compassionate, dependable, and respectful support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals with behavioral health challenges, implementing treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. Your primary focus will be to support clients in achieving their personal goals and improving their quality of life through effective behavioral therapy techniques. Areas of service Mariposa, Merced, Fresno, Tulare, and Kings counties.
Duties
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed behavior analyst.
- Monitor and document client progress, ensuring accurate medical records and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide direct patient care, assisting clients in daily activities while promoting independence and skill development.
- Utilize behavioral therapy techniques to reinforce positive behaviors and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients, addressing any immediate concerns or needs.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in special education and medical terminology.
- Other responsibilities the manager is requesting.
Experience
- Previous experience in behavioral health or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation practices is advantageous.
- Knowledge of special education principles and patient care techniques is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health challenges is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team setting are essential.
- A commitment to ongoing learning in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and behavioral therapy is highly valued.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance (required).
- Must be able to pass a background check and TB test.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
