Sunny Hill Pediatrics is seeking Certified Medical Assistants who can provide outstanding care to pediatric patients and communicate effectively with parents.
Job purpose The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician and/or mid-level provider. The CMA helps patients by providing information, services, and assistance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Greets patients, introduces self, and escorts to exam room.
- Verifies patient information, medical history, medications, and confirms purpose of visit.
- Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts with Office Practicum software.
- Assists in Rapid Testing of patients.
- Required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
- Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records.
- Is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the medical field including basic medical terminology.
- Practices safe habits including but not limited to infection control, lifting procedures, etc.
- Presents a professional image and customer focus.
- Practices teamwork by helping others willingly and communicating in a professional manner.
- Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock;
- Operates standard office equipment (e.g. copier, personal computer, fax, etc.).
- Has regular and predictable attendance.
- Adheres to Sunny Hill Pediatrics policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Certified Medical Assistant.
Education:
·Requires a high school diploma or GED. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Pediatric office experience preferred.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with the EHR Office Practicum is a plus.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
