This position is responsible for maintaining and servicing the county’s equipment and vehicles. This position fuels & maintains equipment, schedules services & perform related duties. This position requires knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures and methods; knowledge of how to fuel equipment and fueling system; skill in oral and written communication; skill in use of street maintenance equipment; skill in the use of hand and power tools. · The work consists of heavy equipment maintenance duties. Inclement weather and not having the tools for the work contributes to the complexity of the position. · The purpose of this position is to ensure the equipment is maintained and serviced. Success in this position ensures that the equipment is operational so the operators are able to complete their assignments.
