Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a welcoming and professional first impression
- Assist servers by delivering food from the kitchen to tables promptly and accurately
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for new guests
- Support the host stand by managing reservations, seating arrangements, and guest inquiries
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to assist guests effectively
- Handle food safety procedures diligently, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders and payments accurately
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams
- Support banquet or large-party service when needed, ensuring all guest needs are met with enthusiasm
- Assist with bussing tables, maintaining cleanliness in dining areas, and supporting overall guest satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including serving or bussing roles
- Strong knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation protocols
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus
- Hospitality background, including hotel or culinary experience, enhances guest service capabilities
- Knowledge of banquet service procedures adds value during large events or special functions
- Demonstrated ability to handle food safely during cooking, serving, or clearing processes
