Associate Preschool Teacher
Associate Teachers help create a warm, caring, and safe environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. They work collaboratively with the teaching team to provide high-quality care and education while putting the needs of children and families first. Qualifications
Candidates should:
- Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Hold CPR and First Aid certification or be willing to obtain certification.
- Have experience working with children ages 6 months to 12 years.
- Have college credits in Early Childhood Education, or a combination of experience working in licensed childcare and knowledge of child development that meets licensing requirements.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Be flexible, dependable, and a collaborative team player.
- Enjoy spending time outdoors in all weather and throughout all seasons.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
- Caring for preschool-aged children in a safe, nurturing environment.
- Assisting with the planning and implementation of engaging, developmentally appropriate activities.
- Cleaning, disinfecting, and organizing classrooms and materials.
- Supporting children's daily routines, including toileting as needed.
- Participating in active indoor and outdoor play, including hiking, making mud pies, singing, dancing, and other hands-on learning experiences.
- Lifting and carrying children and equipment as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
