Position Summary
The Quality Team Lead is responsible for ensuring product quality, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company and customer quality requirements. This position leads quality improvement initiatives, manages customer and supplier quality concerns, supports audits, and works closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead quality assurance activities to maintain product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Investigate customer, supplier, and internal quality concerns using root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
- Manage customer complaints, supplier quality issues, and internal trouble reports through resolution.
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS), including compliance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements.
- Coordinate and lead internal and external quality audits.
- Monitor production and supplier quality performance and implement improvement initiatives as needed.
- Analyze quality and operational data using Excel and other reporting tools.
- Work with process owners to develop, track, and improve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Train and support Quality Assurance team members.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications.
- Participate in cross-functional projects, management meetings, and continuous improvement activities.
- Support 5S, workplace organization, and company safety initiatives.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Previous leadership or team lead experience preferred.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
