Overview – Motorsports Bodywork Technician
Fields Auto Works is a growing specialty sportscar chassis enterprise in Plain City, Ohio. We sell and construct new sportscar chassis packages in addition to supporting customer on-track activity.
Under the supervision of the Operations Director, the Bodywork Technician will fabricate, assemble, and finish bodywork for motorsports applications, and support other related operations such as composites repair and tooling fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Motorsport bodywork fabrication, assembly, and finishing
- Composite parts fabrication and repair
- Tooling fabrication and maintenance
- Represent Fields Auto Works brand professionally and positively
Desired Skills
- Professional automotive bodywork experience
- Familiarity with metal fabrication practices and tools
- Expert use of composites tools and tool maintenance
- Basic machine tool setup and operation
- Read and understand technical drawings and specifications
Requirements
- 2 or more work years experience in automotive or composites industry
- Working knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts and terminology
- Working knowledge of racing and performance automotive industry concepts
- Basic computer skills including MS Office and email
- Must be able to work rapidly under pressure with minimal supervision
- Must be able to understand and explain complex technical details
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift in excess of 70 lbs without restrictions
- Must have valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or GED, technical college or equivalent preferred
- Must be eligible to work in the US
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $90.00 per hour
