Overview
Responsible for preparing and stocking cooking stations, assisting with plating during service, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. This is not an entry-level position.
Duties
- Prepare and stock cooking stations before and during service (chopping, portioning, restocking)
- Assist with assembling and plating dishes during service
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, dishes, and floors throughout the shift
- Restock and break down stations at the end of each shift
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in a confined kitchen space; close, continuous coordination with another staff member in a small area is required
- High-heat environment; applicants must be able to work in elevated temperatures for the entire shift
- Fast-paced; requires standing for the full shift and lifting up to 50 pounds
Experience
- Prior kitchen or food preparation experience is required — no entry-level applicants
- Consistent attendance and punctuality
- Dependable; able to stay on task without close supervision
- Able to work in a hot kitchen for an entire shift
- Able to work in close quarters as part of a two-person station
- Attention to cleanliness and quality of work
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Authorized to work in the United States
Schedule
- Dinner shift: 3:30 PM – 10:00 PM
- No morning shifts available
Compensation
- Discussed during the interview.
