We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dedicated team in our Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) clinic. As a Dosing Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing safe, respectful, and high-quality care to patients receiving medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer daily methadone, buprenorphine (Suboxone/Subutex), or other prescribed MAT medications in accordance with clinic protocols and physician orders
- Conduct patient assessments prior to dosing (vitals, withdrawal symptoms, etc.)
- Observe and document patient responses to medication
- Maintain accurate records of controlled substances and medication administration per federal, state, and DEA regulations
- Provide patient education on medication, safety, and recovery support
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (physicians, counselors, pharmacists) to support comprehensive patient care
- Adhere to strict confidentiality, infection control, and safety standards
Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted LPN license
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Previous experience in addiction medicine, OTP, MAT, psychiatric nursing, or similar setting is strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a non-judgmental, patient-centered approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced clinic environment
- Must pass background check and drug screening
