SRA, INC began in 1995, opening CILA homes to provide services to individuals with developmental disabilities in a safe, loving, and homelike setting. Our goal is help the individuals we serve accomplish as much independence as they can, and experience community integration doing so.
Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential or community-based setting
- Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Support individuals in participating in recreational and social activities
- Assist with transportation to appointments, outings, and community events
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and individual progress
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle challenging situations with patience and empathy
Requirements: Required to pass DHS background check, Pass DCFS/CANTS check, High School Diploma/GED , Valid Illinois Drivers license
