We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Server to join us full time at The Refuge. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for exceptional customer service and a keen understanding of the food industry. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing an outstanding dining experience for our guests, ensuring that they feel welcomed and well-cared for throughout their visit.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly with a friendly demeanor.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings.
- Take accurate orders and ensure timely delivery of food and drinks to tables.
- Manage multiple tables efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and address any guest concerns promptly.
- Utilize Toast POS and OpenTable systems for order entry and table management.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including culinary ingredients, preparation methods, and specials.
- Uphold high standards of customer service to enhance guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented atmosphere.
- A passion for the culinary arts and knowledge of food preparation is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of local attractions and points of interest.
