The machinist is expected to machine various parts and components from detailed drawings and 3D models with guidance from the machine shop manager and / or design engineers. Most work is low-volume, non-repeat work, which provides a lot of job variety and opportunity for career growth. Depending on the machinist's abilities and experience, they could be working on a CNC vertical machining center, CNC lathe, and / or manual mill. Concept Solutions will also teach how to use this equipment to a candidate if they are interested in learning and expanding their abilities. Work will range from simple parts with loose tolerances to high-precision components based on customer demand and the candidate’s abilities.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
· Have 5+ years of machining experience
· Be confident and capable in their machining skills on at least a mill or lathe. CNC experience and ability is preferred.
· Be able to read and interpret detailed part drawings
· Understand tolerances, machining finishes, tool selection, part fixturing, and machining feeds and speeds
· Be able to work independently and as part of a team
