JOB SUMMARY
The Junior Credit Analyst supports the commercial and agricultural lending teams by performing financial analysis and managing credit facilities extended to customers. Key responsibilities include spreading financial statements, evaluating creditworthiness for small or non-complex loans, and maintaining departmental compliance. This role serves as a collaborative partner to lending staff, ensuring accurate risk assessment and helping the bank achieve its strategic financial goals.

Requirements:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Financial Analysis: Spread and analyze corporate, agricultural, and personal financial statements to assess credit risk.

Underwriting Support: Prepare loan presentations and annual reviews for small or non-complex credit facilities.

Risk Management: Review credit packages and verify that proposed loan risk ratings align with Bank Loan Policy.

Market Evaluation: Conduct real estate market research to prepare property valuation reports.

Portfolio Tracking: Monitor and collect mandatory annual financial documentation from existing borrowers.

Reporting & Collaboration: Maintain departmental reports and meet regularly with lenders to discuss portfolio health.

Technical Support and Problem Solving: Provide clear technical guidance and problem-solving support to banking staff and clients.

Information Security & GLBA Compliance: Maintain strict confidentiality of all Nonpublic Personal Information (NPI) in accordance with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. Restrict software platform access to authorized personnel, utilize required multi-factor authentication, ensure secure/encrypted electronic transmission of sensitive loan documents, and report any system vulnerabilities or data risks immediately to the Information Security Officer.

General Support: Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree (BA/ BS) in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field; or a combination of education and/or experience.

One or more years of experience in financial statement analysis and tax return analysis is highly preferred.
